A greeting from the President of the Organizing Committee

As is tradition I wish to convey a hearty welcome to everyone who has come to Alta Badia for the Pre-Christmas highlight. Alta Badia has been hosting the Men’s Giant Slalom valid for the World Ski Cup now for 23 years on the famous Gran Risa slope. Just like every year Alta Badia has been working for months to offer an impeccable event, by improving the surrounding events and constantly bringing about technical and organizational changes in such a way as to keep up with the times and to be able to offer an ever more spectacular event. This year, while awaiting to enlarge the arrival area, the departure area has be enlarged, so as to guarantee greater comfort to the single teams, before they challenge the queen of the White Circus, the Gran Risa.

Our most affectionate greetings go to all the athletes, the National and International Skiing Federations, to the technicians and the managers of the various national teams, to the sporting authorities, to our economic partners and our journalist friends from the newspapers and television, who year after year accompany us in this adventure.

A particular thank you goes to the tourist operators in the area, to the Alta Badia Great Installations, to the Tourist Consortium and the public authorities of Alta Badia, such as the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, and – last but not least – to the numerous volunteers, who, thanks to their passion and willingness, allow us to carry out a show which is unique in the world.

Best wishes to all lovers of Alta Badia a serene and profitable stay and a winter season rich in satisfaction and success.
